Methods of Transport

By TTC (Toronto Transit Commission)

The TTC offers buses, streetcars, and subways throughout the city of Toronto with the option to connect to public transport in other municipalities.

TTC Fare
To use the TTC services you must have exact change, a token, ticket, PRESTO card, or pass. You can also use transfers to change from one service to another.

Using PRESTO on TTC
PRESTO cards are becoming more frequently used on TTC and works with other forms of transit such as regional transit and GO trains.

Note about Transfers
If on the TTC and you need to change from one mode of transport to another (ex: subways, buses, or streetcars) you will require a transfer. You get a transfer at the location where you paid your fare. You cannot use a subway transfer from the end destination.  At subway stations look for the red machines just past the ticket booths. On buses/streetcars you can get transfers from the driver.

By GO transit

Go Transit provides both bus and train routes, transport to a variety of regions outside the downtown core. For students planning to take GO transit they will likely need to use the TTC to arrive closer to Campus. For more information about using the TTC please see above.

Planning your route
GO transit helps to plan your route if traveling within the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area using Triplinx or more generally using Google Transit Trip Planner.

GO transit fare
GO train fares will vary depending on the method of payment and distance covered. GO trains require either a paper ticket or a PRESTO card to pay the fare.  Tickets can be purchased at the train station from either the machine or from a service attendant. If arriving from the Greater Toronto and Greater Hamilton Area, you can also use PRESTO cards as a fare payment system.

By Car

As the Med YSP program is located in the downtown Toronto core, students would be required to arrive and depart during peak rush hour times. As a result please take into account the additional time delays that may occur.

Parking can be found all throughout the downtown core. If planning to park, please take into account the cost of parking as well as the additional time required to find a location and walk over.
